Pesito is operated by Pesito Technologies, S.A.P.I. de C.V., a Mexican corporation. We are a technology company — not a bank.
What we are
A technology provider operating a mobile wallet under Mexican commercial law. Funds sent and received through Pesito are held in custody at licensed financial partners; we do not take deposits, do not extend credit, and do not issue securities.
What we are not
- Not a credit institution (institución de crédito) under Mexico's banking law.
- Not regulated by the CNBV (Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores).
- Not an authorized ITF (Institución de Tecnología Financiera) under the 2018 Fintech Law at the time of this page's publication.
- Not covered by IPAB (Mexican deposit insurance). Balances are protected by the custody arrangement described in our Terms.
Partners we work with
The specific financial institutions and payment partners that support Pesito's OXXO cash-in, SPEI connectivity, and custody services are listed in our Spanish Términos de Servicio. This list updates as partners are added or changed; we notify users 30 days before any change takes effect.
