How we plan to keep your money safe.
Pesito is pre-launch. No customer money movement is live yet; the answers below describe how the service is being designed, and they may change before launch.
How will Pesito keep my money safe?
Pesito is pre-launch and does not hold customer money today.
When we launch, customer funds will be held in
custody at licensed financial institutions, and
before every transfer you'll see the exchange rate, the exact
fee, and exactly what your recipient gets — as U.S. federal
law requires (CFPB Remittance Transfer Rule). Your data is
encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by our cloud
infrastructure provider. We never sell your personal
information.
Is Pesito a bank?
No. Pesito is a technology company (Pesito Technologies,
S.A.P.I. de C.V.), not a credit institution. We don't hold a
banking license, we're not regulated by the CNBV (Comisión
Nacional Bancaria y de Valores), and we don't accept deposits.
That's why it's important to understand where traditional bank
protection does and doesn't apply — we spell it out in detail
in our
Terms of Service.
What happens if Pesito stops operating?
Pesito is pre-launch and holds no customer funds
today. When we launch, customer funds will be held
in custody at licensed financial institutions — not on
Pesito's balance sheet. IPAB (Mexican deposit insurance) does
not apply because Pesito does not take deposits, and
FDIC insurance does not apply either. The exact custody
arrangements — and what they mean for you — will be spelled
out in our Terms of Service before launch.
When will you verify my identity?
To keep transfers safe and meet compliance requirements,
Pesito may ask you to verify your identity before sending.
Required information may vary by country, state, transfer
amount, and partner requirements. We only ask for what we
need to provide the service, prevent fraud, and meet legal
obligations. Your waitlist or survey responses do not
complete identity verification.
What will my account limits be?
Exact per-transaction, daily, monthly, and annual limits will
be set at launch and will depend on identity verification,
corridor availability, and partner requirements. You will
always see your current limits inside the app. Transfers are
subject to identity verification, corridor availability,
limits, and compliance review.
How do I get support?
Email
hola@pesito.la
— we aim to reply within one business day. While Pesito is
pre-launch, that's also the fastest way to ask about the
waitlist, your $PesitoID, or anything on this site.
Pesito is pre-launch — help shape it.
Join the waitlist and we'll let you know when Pesito launches. If you have two minutes, the survey tells us what to build first.
